Details
Summary
CVE-2024-2144 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder – Lite plugin for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 1.5.7, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the Image Separator widget. These scripts will be executed whenever a user visits an injected page, potentially leading to unintended actions or data disclosure. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, which could put WordPress websites using this plugin at risk. It is highly recommended to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this issue.
