Summary

CVE-2024-2140 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder – Lite plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the Advanced Icons widget, where input sanitization and output escaping are insufficient. This flaw enables authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access or higher, to inject malicious scripts into pages. When a user accesses an injected page, the scripts will execute, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exposure. The vulnerability affects all versions up to, and including, 1.5.7.
