Summary

CVE-2024-21359 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) OLE DB provider for SQL Server. An attacker can exploit this flaw by supplying specially crafted data to the vulnerable component, resulting in arbitrary code execution on the target system. Successful exploitation could lead to a wide range of malicious activities, including data theft, unauthorized system access, and installation of malware.
