Summary

CVE-2024-2129 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WPBITS Addons For Elementor Page Builder plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.3.4.2, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's heading widget. Due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, these scripts will be stored and execute whenever a user accesses an affected page. This can lead to unintended website behavior, data theft, and potential compromise of the entire WordPress installation. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
