Summary

CVE-2024-2110 is a new vulnerability affecting the Events Manager plugin for WordPress, versions 6.4.7.1 and below. This issue stems from insufficient nonce validation on several actions, leading to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. Unauthorized attackers can exploit this flaw by tricking site administrators into executing malicious actions, such as modifying booking statuses, through a specially crafted link. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to manipulate event bookings, potentially leading to data loss or unauthorized access to sensitive information. Users are strongly advised to update their Events Manager plugin to a secure version as soon as possible.
