Summary

CVE-2024-20906 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Oracle Systems' Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) in versions 3, 4, and 5. This easily exploitable issue allows high-privileged attackers with network access via ICMP to compromise ILOM. Successful attacks necessitate human interaction and may result in unauthorized access to some of the ILOM's confidential data, as well as limited read access to a subset of its data. The base score of this vulnerability, according to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) version 3.1, is 4.8 for both confidentiality and integrity impacts. The attacker can perform unauthorized data modifications and deletions, posing a significant risk to affected systems.
