Summary

CVE-2024-20878 is a critical heap out-of-bound write vulnerability that affects libsavscmn.so, a component in Savant System's SMR software. The issue is found in the grid image parsing functionality and can be exploited by local attackers to execute arbitrary code. By writing beyond the allocated memory space, an attacker can manipulate the application's state and potentially gain control over the affected system.
