Summary

CVE-2024-20862 is a newly discovered vulnerability that affects SveService before the SMR May-2024 Release 1. This issue involves an out-of-bounds write in the SveService software, enabling local privileged attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected systems. By manipulating the data written beyond the allocated memory boundaries, attackers can inject and execute their own code, potentially leading to significant security breaches and unauthorized system access. System administrators are strongly advised to apply the available patch as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
