Summary

CVE-2024-20840 is a new vulnerability affecting the Samsung Voice Recorder app. Prior to version 21.5.16.01 in Android 12 and Android 13, and version 21.4.51.02 in Android 14, this issue allows physical attackers with access to the device's hardware keyboard to bypass lock screen security and access the Voice Recorder app. The improper access control in the app exposes users to potential privacy concerns and unauthorized recording. Attackers could exploit this vulnerability to access and manipulate voice recordings, placing sensitive information at risk. Users are advised to update their Samsung Voice Recorder app to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
