Summary
CVE-2024-20815 is a newly discovered cybersecurity vulnerability affecting Auto Hotspot. This issue involves an improper authentication mechanism in the onCharacteristicReadRequest function, which allows adjacent attackers to connect to a victim's mobile hotspot without their awareness. This can potentially lead to unauthorized access and data breaches. The vulnerability exists in Auto Hotspot versions prior to the SMR Feb-2024 Release 1.
