Summary

CVE-2024-20716 is a newly disclosed Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability that impacts Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.6-p3, 2.4.5-p5, 2.4.4-p6 and older. A malicious high-privileged user can exploit this flaw to exhaust system resources, leading to an application denial-of-service. Unlike other attacks requiring user interaction, this vulnerability can be triggered without end-user involvement, posing a significant threat to affected organizations. By overwhelming the system with excessive resource demands, the application may slow down or even crash, disrupting normal business operations.
