Summary

CVE-2024-20699 is a newly disclosed Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Hyper-V component in Windows. By sending specially crafted packets to a Hyper-V server, an attacker can cause the virtual machine to enter an infinite loop, resulting in a DoS condition. This issue can potentially impact the availability of critical systems and applications running on the affected Hyper-V server. It is recommended that affected organizations apply the forthcoming Microsoft patch to mitigate this vulnerability.
