Summary

CVE-2024-20404 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Finesse. This issue allows unauthenticated, remote attackers to perform Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks on vulnerable systems. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient validation of user-supplied input for specific HTTP requests. An attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting malicious HTTP requests, potentially gaining limited access to sensitive information related to services linked to the affected device.
