Summary

CVE-2024-20389 is a vulnerability affecting the ConfD CLI and the Cisco Crosswork Network Services Orchestrator CLI. This issue permits an authenticated, low-privileged, local attacker to gain root-level access to the underlying operating system. The flaw stems from insufficient authorization checks when particular CLI commands are invoked. A malicious user could take advantage of this vulnerability by executing a specially crafted command, potentially leading to the unauthorized reading or writing of arbitrary files on the system.
