Summary

CVE-2024-20360 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) Software. This issue enables authenticated, remote attackers to execute SQL injection attacks, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive data or executing arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system. The vulnerability originates from insufficient input validation in the interface. Attackers can exploit this flaw by authenticating to the application and sending malicious SQL queries. Successful exploitation may lead to data theft, system compromise, or privilege escalation, requiring only Read Only user credentials for an attack to be successful.
