Summary

CVE-2024-20335 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Small Business 100, 300, and 500 Series Wireless APs. This issue allows authenticated, remote attackers to carry out command injection attacks against these devices. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must possess valid administrative credentials. The root cause of this weakness lies in insufficient input validation. An attacker could execute arbitrary code as the root user on the underlying operating system by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to the affected device's web-based management interface.
