Summary

CVE-2024-2031 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Video Conferencing with Zoom plugin for WordPress. This issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'zoom_recordings_by_meeting' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. Versions of the plugin up to and including 4.4.4 are vulnerable to this issue.
