Summary

CVE-2024-1986 is a vulnerability found in the Booster Elite for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 7.1.7, and it is caused by the absence of file type validation in the wc_add_new_product() function. This flaw allows attackers with customer-level privileges or higher to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server, potentially leading to remote code execution. However, exploitation is only possible when the user product upload functionality is enabled.
