Summary

CVE-2024-1952 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost version 8.1.x before 8.1.9. This issue arises from the failure to sanitize data associated with permalinks during plugin-initiated ephemeral post updates. An authenticated attacker who can manipulate these updates can gain unauthorized access to individual posts' contents in channels they are not authorized to access.
