Summary
CVE-2024-1949 is a race condition vulnerability affecting Mattermost versions 8.1.x before 8.1.9 and 9.4.x before 9.4.2. An authenticated attacker can manipulate the system by creating and deleting posts in quick succession, gaining unauthorized access to individual post contents. This issue can lead to serious data exposure if exploited. Users are strongly encouraged to update their Mattermost installations to the latest versions to mitigate this vulnerability.
