Summary

CVE-2024-1862 is a vulnerability affecting the WooCommerce Add to Cart Custom Redirect plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to bypass capability checks on the 'wcr_dismiss_admin_notice' function. As a result, attackers can manipulate and update arbitrary site options to the 'dismissed' value, leading to unauthorized modification and potential loss of data. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to WordPress sites using the affected plugin version 1.2.13 and below.
