Summary
CVE-2024-1858 is a vulnerability affecting the Lightbox slider – Responsive Lightbox Gallery plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's handling of untrusted input through post meta data, which allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to perform PHP Object Injection via deserialization. This vulnerability enables attackers to inject malicious PHP Objects into the system, potentially leading to data theft, file deletion, or even code execution.
