Summary

CVE-2024-1799 is a vulnerability affecting the GamiPress plugin for WordPress. The issue stems from insufficient escaping and inadequate preparation of SQL queries within the 'gamipress_earnings' shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject additional SQL queries into existing ones. Consequently, attackers can extract sensitive information from the WordPress database. This vulnerability impacts all versions of the plugin up to and including 6.8.6.
