Summary

CVE-2024-1785 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability affecting the Contests by Rewards Fuel plugin for WordPress. Versions up to 2.0.62 are impacted, as the plugin fails to properly validate nonces in the ajax_handler() function. This issue allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate plugin settings and inject malicious JavaScript by tricking a user with the edit_posts capability into performing a malicious action, such as clicking a link. This could potentially lead to serious security consequences for WordPress sites using the Contests by Rewards Fuel plugin. It is recommended that users update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
