Summary

CVE-2024-1700 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the PHP-MYSQL-User-Login-System 1.0 by an unknown developer. The flaw lies within an unnamed function in the /signup.php file, which can be exploited through a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. By injecting the input <script>alert("xss")</script> into the username argument, an attacker can execute malicious scripts in the context of affected users. This vulnerability is remotely exploitable and its existence and exploit have been made public, increasing the risk to users. The identifier for this issue is VDB-254388, and despite early notice, the vendor has not responded to disclosure attempts.
