Summary

CVE-2024-1692: The BoldGrid Easy SEO plugin for WordPress, used for simple and effective SEO, is found to have a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in all versions up to 1.6.13. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied meta description attributes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exposure.
