Summary

CVE-2024-1691 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Otter Blocks plugin for WordPress, specifically its Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE PRO. In unpatched versions up to 2.6.3, this plugin allows SVG file uploads without proper sanitization or output escaping, making it susceptible to attacks. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when users access injected pages. Notably, version 2.6.4 introduces SVG uploads with sanitization for enhanced security.
