Summary

CVE-2024-1592: A critical vulnerability affects the Complianz plugin for WordPress, allowing unauthenticated attackers to delete GDPR data requests via Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). This issue stems from the absence or incorrect implementation of nonce validation in the process_delete function of class-DNSMPD.php. An attacker can exploit this flaw by tricking a site administrator into executing a malicious link, potentially leading to the deletion of crucial GDPR data requests. WordPress users running versions up to and including 6.5.6 are at risk and are advised to update immediately to mitigate this vulnerability.
