Summary

CVE-2024-1534 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Booster for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in all versions up to 7.1.7, arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcodes. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject malicious web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses an infected page. This increases the risk of data theft, unauthorized access, and other potential security breaches.
