Summary

CVE-2024-1521 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Website Builder Pro plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 3.20.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to upload SVGZ files via the Form widget. The vulnerability lies in the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, enabling attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. However, this vulnerability is only exploitable on web servers running NGINX. Apache HTTP Server is not affected.
