Summary
CVE-2024-1505 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the Academy LMS plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.9.19 are impacted, allowing authenticated attackers, including students, to exploit the saved_user_info() function and escalate their user role to an administrator. This vulnerability puts WordPress sites using the Academy LMS plugin at risk for unauthorized access and potential data breaches. Users are strongly encouraged to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this issue.
