Summary
CVE-2024-1484 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Amelia plugin for WordPress, specifically versions up to and including 1.0.98. This issue arises due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of the date parameters. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts, which can be executed when an unsuspecting user performs a certain action, such as clicking on a malicious link. The consequences of a successful attack could lead to data theft, unauthorized access, or even website defacement.
