Summary

CVE-2024-1475 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Coming Soon Maintenance Mode plugin for WordPress. In all versions up to and including 1.0.5, this plugin is susceptible to Sensitive Information Exposure via the REST API. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw to gain access to post and page content, bypassing the plugin's protection mechanisms. This issue poses a significant risk, as it allows unauthorized users to access sensitive information that should have been hidden during maintenance mode. As a precaution, WordPress users are advised to update to the latest version of the plugin or consider disabling the REST API temporarily to mitigate the risk.
