Summary

CVE-2024-1449 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Master Slider – Responsive Touch Slider plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 3.9.5, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level or higher permissions to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's ms_slide shortcode. Consequently, any page containing an injected shortcode will execute the attacker's web scripts when accessed by users.
