Summary

CVE-2024-1441 is a newly discovered vulnerability in the udevListInterfacesByStatus() function of the libvirt library. This issue arises when the number of interfaces exceeds the size of the `names` array, leading to an off-by-one error. Maliciously crafted data can be sent to the libvirt daemon to exploit this flaw, resulting in a denial of service attack and causing the daemon to crash. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows unprivileged clients to disrupt the functionality of the system.
