Summary

CVE-2024-1425: The EmbedPress plugin for WordPress, used to embed PDF, YouTube, Google Docs, Vimeo, Wistia Videos, Audios, Maps, and any documents in Gutenberg and Elementor, is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This vulnerability exists due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the Google Calendar Widget Link. Attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw and inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page. Versions up to and including 3.9.8 are impacted.
