Summary

CVE-2024-1421 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the HT Mega – Absolute Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.4.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious code into the 'border_type' attribute of the Post Carousel widget. As a result, any user accessing an injected page will unknowingly execute the malicious script. This vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, posing a significant risk to WordPress sites using the affected plugin.
