Summary

CVE-2024-1393 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress. The flaw, present in all versions up to and including 1.12.12, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'icon_align' attribute of the Content Switcher widget. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Upon accessing an injected page, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to unintended actions or data exfiltration.
