Summary

CVE-2024-1389 is a vulnerability affecting the Paid Membership Subscriptions plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the pms_stripe_connect_handle_authorization_return function, which lacks adequate capability checks. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can exploit this vulnerability to modify data, specifically the Stripe payment keys, putting users' financial information at risk. This vulnerability is present in all versions up to and including 2.11.1. WordPress users running these affected versions are urged to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
