CVE-2024-1382

Summary

CVE-2024-1382 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Restaurant Reservations plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.9, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to execute arbitrary PHP files through the nd_rst_layout attribute of the nd_rst_search shortcode. Attackers can leverage this vulnerability to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution. Inclusion of malicious PHP files can lead to serious security implications.
