Summary
CVE-2024-1369 is a command injection vulnerability discovered in GitHub Enterprise Server.An attacker with editor access to the Management Console could exploit this flaw, setting the username and password for collectd configurations, and ultimately gain admin SSH access to the appliance. This vulnerability required access to the GitHub Enterprise Server instance and the editor role in the Management Console. Versions prior to 3.12 of GitHub Enterprise Server were affected, with patches released in versions 3.11.5, 3.10.7, 3.9.10, and 3.8.15. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
