Summary

CVE-2024-1359: A command injection vulnerability was discovered in GitHub Enterprise Server, enabling an editor role user in the Management Console to gain unauthorized admin SSH access to the appliance while setting up an HTTP proxy. exploitation required access to the GitHub Enterprise Server instance and editor role privileges in the Management Console. This issue affected all versions prior to 3.12 and was patched in versions 3.11.5, 3.10.7, 3.9.10, and 3.8.15. The vulnerability was reported through GitHub's Bug Bounty program.
