Summary

CVE-2024-1349 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the EmbedPress plugin for WordPress, up to and including version 3.9.8. This issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's shortcodes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, putting sensitive information at risk.
