Summary

CVE-2024-1239 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the ElementsKit Elementor addons plugin for WordPress. This issue, found in versions up to and including 3.0.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject malicious scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses a manipulated page, posing a significant security risk. The root cause stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the plugin's read more button.
