Summary

CVE-2024-1238 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the ElementsKit Elementor addons plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.0.6 are vulnerable to this issue. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the button ID parameter. This weakness allows authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to inject arbitrary web scripts. Once injected, these scripts will execute whenever an unsuspecting user accesses an infected page.
