Summary

CVE-2024-1237 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Header & Footer Builder plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.6.24, allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject malicious scripts into the flyout_layout attribute. Consequently, these scripts will execute whenever an end user accesses an injected page. Despite proper authentication checks, insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in this plugin leave it vulnerable to such attacks.
