Summary

CVE-2024-1160 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 4.8.0, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts into the Icon Link feature. Consequentially, these scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, enabling attackers to manipulate data and exploit the WordPress platform. It is essential for users to update their plugins to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
