Summary
CVE-2024-1124 is a vulnerability affecting the EventPrime plugin for WordPress. This issue permits authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to send unauthorized emails with arbitrary content from the site, due to a missing capability check on the ep_send_attendees_email() function. Versions up to and including 3.4.1 are vulnerable to this exploit. This vulnerability poses a significant risk for phishing attacks and unintended email distribution. Users are strongly advised to update their EventPrime plugin to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
