Summary
CVE-2024-10891 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Save as PDF Plugin by Pdfcrowd for WordPress. Versions up to 4.2.1 are susceptible to this issue. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'save_as_pdf_pdfcrowd' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This poses a significant security risk, as it allows attackers to steal sensitive data, manipulate user interactions, and potentially gain unauthorized access to WordPress sites.
