Summary

CVE-2024-1073 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SlimStat Analytics plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the 'filter_array' parameter, which allows insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in all versions up to 5.1.3. As a result, authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
